Happy Mother’s DAY

This time last year, I posted Mother’s Love, because it was Mother’s day. Yes! It’s another Mother’s day this Year – 2015 and I am posting this again, but with a little more content.

I am adding this very popular nursery poem “My Mother” by Ann Taylor and also a YouTube video by Steven Curtis Chapman titled – “One Heartbeat At A Time” .. This is dedicated to all Mothers, Grand Mothers  Great Grand Mothers, Prospective Mothers and Sisters. We at African Canadian Wedding Loves You♥

My Mother
What can be likened to a mother’s love?
Pure, real and full of sincerity,
Kind and gentle even to the heart
None has and will be like it.

Putting the pains aside, she conceived
Forgetting the ordeals, she labored in sweat
Through rain and sunshine she held on
Here I am the product of are stress

That I may sleep she became sleepless
She risked her life that I may live
She hungered that I may eat satisfied
She was homeless that I might be sheltered

On sick bed, she was the only sight to behold
The only grip to hold and feel
The very help assuredly available
My mother, my Angel, my love

What can I do without my mother’s love?
Where can I live without the touch of her care?
Her care transcends the imaginable
Who can risk this much for an unknown.

Do not ridicule or ignore mothers? call
She is but a goddess and protector
A beauty that needs appreciation for eternity
A goddess that is to be reverend

My heart is full of appreciation for mum
She means the entire world to me
She is the silver lining in my cloud
Mama I say thanks for the care.

Mothers need your love in return
Do not abscond from her yawning
Don’t wait till she dies before celebrating her
Don’t be shy to introduce or walk with her

Give her the treats you can’t even give yourself

Spare time to talk and play with yours
Honor her while she is still alive

This is dedicated to all mothers and prospective mothers.

“My Mother” by Ann Taylor

Who sat and watched my infant head
When sleeping on my cradle bed,
And tears of sweet affection shed?
My Mother.

When pain and sickness made me cry,
Who gazed upon my heavy eye,
And wept for fear that I should die?
My Mother.

Who taught my infant lips to pray
And love God’s holy book and day,
And walk in wisdom’s pleasant way?
My Mother.

And can I ever cease to be
Affectionate and kind to thee,
Who wast so very kind to me,
My Mother.

Ah, no! the thought I cannot bear,
And if God please my life to spare
I hope I shall reward they care,
My Mother.

When thou art feeble, old and grey,
My healthy arm shall be thy stay,
And I will soothe thy pains away,
My Mother.

In fact your creative writing abilities has encouraged me to get my own site now. Actually the blogging is spreading its wings fast. Your write up is a great example of it.
